I have dual roles in the Division of Adult and Career Education of the Los Angeles Unified School District: I'm an in-classroom teacher of ESL for adult immigrant students at Pacoima Skills Center, and I'm a teacher adviser at the division level in ESL programs. My main area of focus as a teacher adviser is training our division's ESL instructors in the use of and integration of technology in their teaching. In that role, I also collaborate with other teacher advisers in integrating technology into our ESL course outlines and other publications. Being a classroom teacher gives me the opportunity to experiment with the technologies that I learn about with my own students. For me, it's a perfect combination!
